Block Blast strategy

Block Blast rules: placement, clearing and the next tray

Place a piece inside empty cells on the 8×8 board. A completely filled row or column clears after the placement. Plan for all three pieces you can see; a good first move can make room for the other two.

Read the whole shape

A piece must fit without overlapping occupied cells or extending past an edge. Enter its exact orientation in the planner. The planner does not rotate pieces for you.

Clear a complete line

Seven occupied cells are not enough: all eight cells in a row or column must be filled. If one placement completes a row and a column, both clear together. The crossing cell belongs to both lines.

Use the visible tray

Try different orders of your three pieces. A small piece may clear a row that the long piece needs. This tool evaluates only the tray you entered; it cannot know which pieces the game will give you next.

Check your mode

The planner models an 8×8 board with normal occupied cells and full-row/full-column clearing. It does not model special goals, locked tiles, gravity, alternative grid sizes, official score multipliers or power-ups.
